Distinguishing featuresThe distinguishing feature is the flowers that have 6 petals with a prominant green stripe on the underside of the petal. Leaves are linear, erect, basally inserted at the bulb, forming a clump. Single, leafless stems are produced at flowering. The plant is an onion-like herb perennating from a bulb, about 1 foot tall. |
