The broken graphics occur when Netscape looks for a graphic file, but for some reason it is having a hard time finding and downloading it. A question mark graphic appears, on the other hand, when there is no file with the name that the program code tells Netscape to look for. But a broken graphic occurs when there is a file with the proper name, but Netscape can't download it properly.Who knows why it does this. There could be too much traffic on the lines. There could be interference from a phonecall trying to get through if you are using a modem at home. You never can tell. Netscape screws up all the time.
The point is that the file really is there. You have a couple of options for getting Netscape to load it.
These broken images really have a tendency to appear on the glossary page. Just keep trying the above options and eventually the whole page will load properly.
- Try clicking the Browser's "Back" button and then the "Forward" button to get the page to reload. This will often work and the image will appear.
- You can also try clicking the "Reload" button.
