To acquire an image without motion correction that is diagnostic, thirty seconds to two minutes are usually necessary to accumulate enough counts.  Should the horse shift his weight or sway during acquisition the images will become distorted. Careful monitoring of the horses position and of the image during acquisition is necessary to ensure a clear image and prevent blurred images or artifacts.
