| Note the similarity of the radioisotope uptake with medial femoral cyst uptake. The
general appearance of the lack of joint space and the lack of a focal area of uptake
in the femur, leans towards generalized osteoarthritis in the joint, however the non
specificity of bone scans require additional clinical evaluation to
definitively diagnose
these findings. Radiographs distinguish osteoarthritis in this case. |
