Navicular Bone

Which Lesions are Most Significant?

Any cyst-like lesion in the central portion of the navicular bone, any lollipop formation noted in any portion of the navicular bone, and any cone-shaped osteolytic change noted along the wings of the navicular bone are, in my opinion, radiographically significant. In addition bone spur formation along the wings of the navicular bone I also consider significant. Cone-shaped osteolytic changes of the distal border of the navicular bone are not radiographically significant.
