Case #3

On physical exam, you see a nervous sweaty horse.
When the trainer gets the horse to stand for a minute,
you attempt a physical exam. You notice both eyes are clear
as the horse attempts to remove a chunk of your shoulder.
As you bend down to examine the legs, the horse brings up
his front leg and smacks you on the same shoulder.
You decide to take a step back and examine the horse from a safer perspective. You think you see an area of swelling midway
up the third metacarpal.
You try to palpate it, but this time he knocks you over
trying to strike you. You opt
to move on in your examination.
