Why do I sometimes get broken graphics instead of a normal graphic?

The broken graphics occur when Netscape looks for a graphic file, but for some reason it is having a hard time finding and downloading it. A question mark graphic appears, on the other hand, when there is no file with the name that the program code tells Netscape to look for. A broken graphic occurs when there is a file with the proper name, but Netscape can't download it properly.

There are many reasons that this may occur. There may be too much traffic on the lines. There could be interference from a phone call trying to get through if you are using a modem at home.

The point is that the file really is there. You have a couple of options for getting Netscape to load it.
