How to Configure Your Mac Monitor for Optimal Image Quality and Color Range

There are two major things you need to adjust on your monitor to get the best results:
Monitor screen size and Color Range.

You can print out this page under the File menu if you'd like.

  1. Go under the apple icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen
  2. Select Control Panel.
  3. Then select Monitors.
  4. Select Thousands of colors (or an any option greater than 256 colors).
  5. Select the Options button to reveal a new screen
  6. Change the screen size to 832 X 624 or the closest option available. Any larger than 800 X 600 may result in a tiny font that you can barely read. Your screen may blank out momentarily while it resets to the new size.
These directions may not precise because every monitor may have a different control panel.
