Question 1	Where is the Mastoid Process?
Answer 1	The mastoid process is a bony process (or projection) of the temporal bone of the skull. Use the pictures below to help with the identification Be sure that you can identify this structure on the dog and cat skull! Remember: When you are studying a muscle, you need to "clean" and therefore identify the specific origin(s) and insertion(s). If you know these, and you know the joints over which that muscle courses, you can deduce the action of that muscle.
