Stage 2
Stage two begins with the rupture of the chorioallantoic membrane and ends with delivery of the fetus.  This process should last about 15 to 20 minutes; if longer the attendant should become alarmed.  Once the membrane ruptures allantoic fluid will be expelled through the vulva.
