Equine Behavior Short Course

Sponsors:  University of Nevada Agricultural Experiment Station and College of Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Natural Resources; Comstock Large Animal Hospital

Intent of Seminar: To present veterinarians, veterinary technicians, horse owners, and horse trainers with the most current information and research in equine behavior.  Learning principles, training, routine management, and overcoming behavioral problems will be discussed.  The goal is to provide the audience with information that will enable them to handle and treat their horses more safely and efficiently as well as manage and prevent common behavior problems.

CE Credit:

RACE associated states:  This course meets the requirements for 15 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB’s RACE approval; however, participants should be aware that some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions of certain methods of delivering continuing education.

Non RACE associated states:  Kentucky has approved the course for 10 hours of CE credit.  All other states have approved the course for 15 hours of CE credit.
