Each year the Dorothy Russell Havemeyer Foundation funds two
Summer Veterinary Research Fellow positions within the Equine Behavior
Laboratory at New Bolton Center. The objective of the
program is to provide research training and related clinical veterinary
experiences for veterinary students within the context of an ongoing funded
veterinary research laboratory. The positions require a strong interest
and background in reproductive and/or behavioral biology. The program
provides an introduction to the various phases of designing, funding,
conducting, and reporting veterinary research. It includes considerable
independent reading and study, hands-on animal research, as well as research
animal and facilities care. The program is open to accepted,
matriculated, or recently graduated veterinary students internationally. A
modest stipend is provided. |
