Cutaneous Horn

A circumscribed exophytic lesion composed of dense compact keratin.

Gross Appearance:
Often associated with the footpads, may be multiple.  May have an association with FeLV infection.

Histology:
•Epidermis is markedly hyperplastic 
•Compact stratum corneum, which is primarily orthokeratotic, forms columns 
•May include foci of parakeratosis 
•May be found overlying a dysplastic or neoplastic epidermis
