Myxosarcoma

A malignant tumor of primitive pleomorphic fibroblasts that produce excess mucin.

Histology:
•Composed of loosely arranged stellate or spindle-shaped cells separated by a mucinous stroma 
•Nuclear pleomorphism - variable, but usually mild to moderate
•Occasional atypical mitotic figures


Prognosis:

Recurrance is common
