Ceruminous Adenoma

A simple benign tumor showing differentiation to ceruminous secretory epithelium. Ceruminous glands are present in the external ear.

Gross Appearance:

Histology:
•Similar to those described for apocrine adenoma 
•Secretion within the glandular lumina appears brown in H&E stained sections
•Secondary inflammation is very uncommon
•Occasionally tumors may show small foci of tumor cells within the overlying epidermis, which represents involvement of the acrosyringium
