The Autonomic Nervous System
The purpose of this project is to serve as a case-based, interactive auto-tutorial on the anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology of the autonomic nervous system (ANS). This site is designed to be useful for students at any point in their veterinary education. The review section contains detailed sketches of the ANS for less experienced students as well as quick-reference schematics for more advanced students. They may be used autonomously as a learning tool or as review for the clinical cases.
Click one of the cases to learn about the ANS as it pertains to that case. To preview which features of the ANS are covered in each case, click the review link. At any time the glossary link will open up a pop-up glossary which can be kept open for easy reference, or may be closed. You may return to the CAL project directory, return to this homepage, or visit the neuroscience website at any time by utilizing the buttons at the bottom of each page.
