Section 1 examines diseases and conditions of the elbow, stifle, and hip. Clinical cases are presented and evaluated for each joint condition. Details regarding signalment, history, diagnosis, as well as surgical and post-operative treatments are included for each case.

Section 2 introduces the fundamental principles and instrumentation used for the major methods of fracture repair in veterinary orthopedics. Clinical cases will be presented and evaluated to teach fracture repair planning. Options regarding different types of fixation for each fracture type and the reasons for choosing each stabilization method are discussed in detail.
